Hello, everyone. I’m Ty’Ann Brown, encouraging you to keep the faith.

This has been a rough year in our country and around the world. The coronavirus pandemic has wrecked havoc in so many areas of our lives. Our health, our jobs, schools, relationships and of course our finances. The economic fallout, with millions unemployed, has been very severe.

But the truth is that many people struggle with their finances. They’re spending more than they can make, the credit card bills are getting larger, and no matter how hard they work, it just seems like they can’t get ahead.

So the question is, where do you turn for help? Some people feel that it’s not okay to ask God for financial blessings. That this is somehow wrong, and that you should focus more on your health and loving your neighbor.

But nothing could be farther from the truth. In fact, God wants to bless you abundantly in every area of your life, including financially.

The Bible backs this up, from the book of Genesis all the way to Revelation. Do you know how many verses mention money, tithing, and financial concerns? Two thousand. That’s right, over 2,000 verses mention money, so it’s fair to say that money is mentioned more than almost any other topic in the Bible. Take Philippians 4:19. It says, “For my God shall supply all of your needs, according to his riches in glory, by Christ Jesus.”

Why do some people still fail to perceive spiritual breakthrough in their finances? Well, maybe you don’t believe this is God’s will for you, that he wants you to prosper. 2nd Chronicles 20:20 says, “Believe in the Lord your God, and so shall you be established; believe in his prophets, and so shall you prosper.” You have to believe God’s word.

Perhaps you’re continuing to rely on your own ability to make money or sort out your debt or finally pick out that winning stock instead of relying on God. But Job makes it pretty clear; he says, “Submit to God and be at peace with him; and in this way, prosperity will come to you.”

Another reason why you may be blocked from financial blessings: your focus is too narrow, too self-centered or maybe you’re trying to keep up with the Joneses, or maybe you just haven’t done the work. The Bible tells us over and over again that the more that we share our abundance with others is the more that we will be blessed. There’s a reason why the verse; “As a man sows, that shall he reap” has become one of the most well-known expressions around the world. It’s because it’s true. It was true over 2,000 years ago and it’s certainly true today.

So turn to God. Turns out he is the best financial advisor that you could ever have. God bless you. Keep the faith.
