Inspiration can come in teeny-tiny packages. Share your story of wonder, no matter how small, with us!

Have you ever experienced a little moment of wonder, only it was so miniscule and seemingly insignificant that you didn’t tell anyone about it?
It happened to me the other day. I save all the greeting cards and letters that I receive from friends and family in a box in my room. I was having a hard time waking up one morning, so I sleepily pulled a card out of the box at random, hoping for some inspiration to start the day.
The one I picked was an old birthday card from my sister Priscilla. “God bless you always,” she wrote on the inside of the card. “I hope you have the best day ever and that you know just how lucky you are!”
Her birthday wishes couldn’t have come at a better time–and my birthday is months away! It felt sort of wondrous. Maybe I’ll share this moment on the blog, I thought. Well, actually, maybe not. It’s way too small.
I’ve written before about the power of storytelling and how it can alter your brain’s activity, amazingly enough. It’s not only the big stories that count, though. It’s the little ones too.
I was reluctant to share my small moment, but I shouldn’t have hesitated. It’s those everyday encounters, glimpses and stories that open your eyes, even for an instant, to the wonder all around us. There’s nothing small about that.
So what are you waiting for? Tell your story, no matter how teeny-tiny it seems. You never know–it might reach someone at just the right time. It might feel good to get it out. And it might end up in our magazine. We’re always looking for “Mysterious Moments” to share with readers.
