Looking for a great, tangible way to show our veterans, deployed service members and their families that you care? Soldiers’ Angels, a nonprofit organization that provides aid and comfort to these heroes, is looking for volunteers to join its sewing and crafting team.

Team members work from home to make blankets, lap blankets, pillowcases, pajama pants, drawstring bags, hats, scarves and wheelchair/walker totes. Crafters send their completed projects to Soldiers’ Angels, whose volunteers distribute the items to patients at VA hospitals around the country.

The sewing and crafting team also makes sand scarves and cooling scarves to ship to deployed service members in care packages, as well as baby items to give to expectant military moms.

Are you a talented knitter or quilter? More of a needlework newbie? No matter your skill level, you can help! To get involved, visit soldiersangels.org/programs/family-support/sewing-and-crafting-team/.
