Extensions of God’s Hands

As one pizza maker discovers, it really doesn’t take much to be a blessing to others.

A pizza pie. Thinkstock.

Have you ever thought about the fact that we can be extensions of God’s hands? I was reminded of that today.

I love some of the videos on Facebook. I ran across this one and was so touched by the wonderful story that I wanted to share it with you. Watch the video and then ask yourself, “What can I do to make a difference for someone?”

It’s an awesome idea to help the homeless like they did at this Philadelphia pizza shop, and I know God would love it if some of us carried this kindness into our hometowns. It would be awesome to see other restaurants and the big fast food places latch onto this idea.

And there are other folks besides the homeless who could use a helping hand. Do you know a single mom who could use an oil change for her car, some maintenance on her house or a kind man to take her children fishing for the afternoon?

Is there a single dad who would welcome a home-cooked meal or somebody to talk to about raising his children? What about elderly people who would just love a visit for a few hours? Could you take your children and brighten their day?

If you stop and think about it, it really doesn’t take much to be a blessing to others. So give a few dollars or invest a little of your time and become an extension of God’s loving hands.
