Making the Cut

When I found out my dear friend and hair stylist had cancer, I knew exactly where I wanted my donated hair to go.

Earth angel donates hair to Pantene Beautiful Lengths

I’d been growing out my hair for nearly three years, planning to donate it to a non-profit organization. A few months before I was scheduled to make the big cut, my long-time friend and hair stylist, Pat, was diagnosed with lung cancer.

As soon as I heard, I knew just where my hair should go: the Pantene Beautiful Lengths program. Pantene has partnered with HairUWear and the American Cancer Society to create and distribute wigs to women who have lost their hair due to cancer treatments. Other organizations that help children and young adults struggling with hair loss are Locks of Love, Children With Hairloss, and Wigs for Kids.

Growing your hair long enough to donate takes time but little else. Make the cut and become an angel, too!
