Guideposts’ 50th Annual Good Friday Day of Prayer

Ty’Ann Brown, VP of Ministries, invites you to take part in Guideposts’ 50th Annual Good Friday Day of Prayer on April 2, 2021.

Guideposts Video: Inspiring True Stories

As we move through Lent, some of you may be fasting, others may have given up a bad habit, such as coffee or chocolate or even your iPhone. But however you are marking the Lenten season, traditionally, a time of deep reflection in penance, we are all preparing for the same thing, the hope and the promise of the Resurrection.

But at Guideposts, we’re also preparing for something else. The celebration of our 50th Annual Good Friday Day of Prayer event. Fifty years! And we’re inviting you to join us to help mark this amazing milestone.

For half a century now, Guideposts has put aside this holy day to come together in fellowship and to pray for the thousands and thousands of prayer requests we get from all over the country.

This year’s event is going to be all online and we have a powerful program to share with you. Pastor and New York Times bestselling author Mark Batterson is going to be with us, sharing words of wisdom from his latest book, “Win The Day.” If you haven’t seen the book yet, this is really compelling stuff. Mark outlines seven daily habits that you can follow and you can change your entire life. So stop regretting the past. Stop shaking with anxiety about the future. Set your God-sized goals and win this day.

We’ll also have the pleasure of listening to spoken word artist Gloria Umanah. I can personally attest, her spirit-filled testimony will take your breath away. This hour-long program is going to be rounded out with music from Mission Worship and live prayer.

+I know that your Holy Week may look different this year, and for the second year in a row you may not be able to go to church. You may be missing family. However, you can be a part of this powerful worship tradition, and you can be reminded that God so loved the world that He gave his one and only son that whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. God bless you, and we look forward to seeing you on April 2nd.
