Deep in the Nicoya district of Guanacaste, Costa Rica, there is a 50,000-acre nature conservancy along with a hacienda-style ecotourism lodge and hotel. While visiting El Rancho Humo, you can tour the nature conservancy, a haven for bird-lovers. American Egrets were spotted hanging out on Bird Island on the reserve.
