Pray Instead

Distraction is easier than prayer…

Daily Devotionals blogger Julia Attaway

I’ve noticed myself falling into a bad habit. Sometimes, instead of talking to God, I open my laptop.

Part of the problem is that I do need the computer to work, so it’s always there.

Part of the problem is that the web does in fact have answers and advice about a lot of my questions.

But the biggest part of the problem is that distraction is easier than prayer. It is easier to let a screen soothe my stress than to take the time to calm my heart and direct it to God.

So here’s my advice: Stop reading this. Pray, instead.
