Tiny Wonders of Art

Mykola Syadristy, a Ukrainian artist and former engineer, designs microminiatures—tiny sculptures that can only be viewed with the help of a microscope.

Imagine a secret world that can’t be seen with the naked eye. One where chess sets sit on the heads of pins and camels journey through the eye of a needle. Welcome to the world of Mykola Syadristy, a Ukrainian artist featured in the December/January 2016 issue of Mysterious Ways magazine.

Syadristy, a former engineer, designs microminiatures, a.k.a. teeny-tiny sculptures that can only be viewed with the help of a microscope. Each masterpiece takes about a month to complete and most are smaller than a grain of salt.

His invisible creations are displayed at the Monastery of the Caves in Kiev. But you don’t have to travel far to glimpse Mykola’s wonders. Simply click through these images to uncover his hidden world.
